“Te Maioha o Parekarangi”
A gift to the people of the residence, to benefit them, as an inclusive gift from everyone.
Our students at Te Maioha o Parekarangi arrive here because they have been remanded or sentenced by the Youth Court. They may stay from one week to several months.
At Kingslea School we offer both NCEA and pre NCEA teaching and assessment. Subjects include; English, Maths, Physical Education, Social Science, Health, Te Ao Maori, Art, Technology, Hospitality as well as a vocational practical programme, a student-led cafe and a barista programme.
Our aim is that time spent in our classrooms at Kingslea School, Te Maioha o Parekarangi not only allows students to rediscover the magic of learning but is both productive and constructive in preparation for our students to transition successfully back to secondary or tertiary education working towards achieving their individual goals.
